And I can see the size of the frame, 1280x720, that number in brackets is the shape of the dots, that's the pixels, the number of frames per second, and so on. First of all, we've got the Source and Output Summary. But there are really two areas I want to draw your attention to. Again, we have quite a lot of options in this dialog. And I've got some options to Publish to social media platforms, like Adobe Behance, Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo, and so on. I can work with Captions, open and closed. And if you have a specific demand for the way that the video and audio are combined, you can set it here. I have Audio export options, Multiplexer options that are specific to H.264. If I turn off the Checkbox, I can change these settings. And you'll notice that these options are all grayed out, because I have a Checkbox on the right side for Match Source.

I can adjust the Video settings for the output, and that means specifying things like the Width and the Height of the image, the number of frames per second, and so on. As I work down all of the options in this dialog, I can see that I've got a series of tabs where I can specify some additional effects I want to apply to the clip that I'm exporting. The higher the bitrate, usually the better the quality of the end result. A bitrate is a measure of the amount of information used to store the picture and sound. In this case the source is my current sequence, but I could just as easily have selected a clip in the Project panel to export that into a different format. And I'm going to make sure that the Preset for that format is set to Match Source - High bitrate. This is a popular codec for the distribution of media today. I'm going to make sure that my Format is set to H.264. And this brings up the Export Settings dialog. And this is a sequence I'd like to export as a file. I've got my Going Home sequence open here. But you can often use a preset that does all the choosing for you.

Lastly, if you would rather read how to export your videos in 1080p instead of watch, I have included a text tutorial with screenshots below, detailing my exact export settings. For this lesson, I'm using the 10_01 Export a video file.prproj. Want to export even faster? Instead of creating your own export preset, just download and use mine! So if you are watching this video or reading the text tutorial below and are confused about why I am using a certain setting, I would highly recommend watching the 4K export settings video, as many of the settings that I go over are similar and include explanations. This tutorial is significantly shorter than my 4K export settings tutorial due to me not going nearly as in-depth about my reasoning for choosing the settings that I use.
